Vidhai was an anthology of poems by local Tamil poets, interpreted and reimagined as a multi-disciplinary showcase that strung them together into a cohesive narrative under a theme.​

This production was executed through a strong collaborative process between artists, who practiced a diverse and impressive range of art forms, including music, dance, drama, and film, by renowned Indian artists.

The primary objective of this showcase was to plant the seeds of sustained and boundary-pushing collaborations across disciplines within the realm of Tamil theatre and the wider art scene it was situated in. This project was also the first of its kind, celebrating the achievement of Tamil works and artists by bringing them and a multitude of art forms together.

The secondary objective was to acknowledge and show gratitude for the works of the cultural medallion featured, as well as put a face to these acclaimed pieces of literature and subsequently fostering a sense of appreciation and understanding for the works and their writers through the artists’ lively and engaging interpretation of them.
